Hoy 24 de Enero en la mañana se revelaron los nominaciones a la 89ava entrega de los premios Oscar; en sus 24 categorías, la ceremonia de premiación a lo mejor del cine tiene como gran favorita a La La Land, película con 14 nominaciones, record que también comparten All About Eve y Titanic.
El premiado musical del director Damien Chazelle, La La Land, lidera las nominaciones con 14 categorías, incluidas Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Actor (Ryan Gosling) y Mejor Actriz (Emma Stone); seguidas por Arrival y Moonlight con 8 nominaciones cada una. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story está nominada en 3 categorias: Mejor Mezcla de Sonido (donde también está nominada La La Land), Mejores Efectos Especiales y Mejores Efectos Visuales (junto con 8 grandes nominados, donde se incluyen Jungle Book y Doctor Strange).
Ni Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America: Civil War o Deadpool han sido nominadas a alguna categoría, aunque Suicide Squad logro ser nominada a Mejor Maquillaje. Y en la categoría Mejor Pelicula Animada, Zootopia puede repetir la victoria tras haber ganado el Globo de Oro, aunque Moana o Kubo and the Two Strings podrían arrebatarle el galardón.
